# Yao-Chung Fan (范耀中)

> Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science, National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan. Vice Provost (副教務長). Director of the NCHU NLP Laboratory. Research focus: Natural Language Generation, Agentic AI, Educational Technology with LLMs, Machine Reading Comprehension, and low-resource (Indigenous Taiwanese) language dialogue.

Yao-Chung Fan leads research and deployment of production AI systems serving NCHU students, hospital partners, and Indigenous-language communities. Flagship deployments include AI 興學伴 (eduxplore) — a campus-wide learning advisor — 神農 TAIDE (RAG on the Taiwan-developed TAIDE LLM), a fact-checking system using Claude API and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the Changhua Christian Hospital consultation system, and an Amis (阿美族語) dialogue system.
